Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Commercial Marketing-West, to lead our efforts in developing and executing commercial marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, foster strong relationships with trade partners, and ensure effective execution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the spirits industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in commercial and trade marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial marketing strategies and tools that align with overall brand and business objectives.
- Lead planning to localize national programming to meet the unique needs and preferences of regional markets, ensuring tailored execution that resonates with consumers.
-Collaborate with region sales, distributor partners and agencies to plan and execute marketing activations, promotions, and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, distributors, retailers, and on-premises accounts.
- Collaborate closely with the West region sales team to align marketing initiatives with sales goals, drive regional growth, and ensure effective market penetration.
- Oversee the planning and execution of trade shows, tastings, and other promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage local marketing spend, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of commercial marketing activities, using data-driven insights to optimize performance.
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and brand standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in field marketing, trade marketing, or related fields within the spirits or beverage industry.
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and trade activations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Creative thinker with a passion for the spirits industry and brand building.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively in a fast-paced, dynamic while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in marketing analytics and performance measurement tools.
