Overview of the Role
Therapy Contracting Services (TCS) is seeking a motivated Human Resource intern who wants to work in Human Resources. The HR intern will work closely with and support TCS’s Recruiting Manager with a diverse set of roles that will build their expertise and provide hands-on experience in the various aspects of Human Resources. Our Recruiting Manager is looking to mentor a student who will help on a wide variety of HR functions including but not limited to: recruiting, orientation/onboarding, compensation, performance management, compliance, HRIS, and training & development. This position is unpaid but interested candidates will be encouraged to work for class credit. This position also offers the potential to obtain incentives for recruiting talent that maintains employment within a predefined time frame. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist the Recruiting Manager with coordinating all activities related to the full-cycle recruiting process (including job posting, sourcing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screens)
- Help support new implementation of applicant tracking system
- Understand optimal methods for hiring candidates in physical therapy positions
- Must have the professional maturity to problem solve and execute while working remotely within an entrepreneurial environment
- Assist in processing background checks

Qualifications
- Commitment to TCS’s mission
- Must be able to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week to the internship, on a regular defined schedule (depending upon college credit requirements)
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college, working towards a degree in HR
- Applicants should have a sincere desire to learn the field of human resources, and a strong desire to serve others
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Detailed-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple task requirements simultaneously
- Besides strong overall computer skills, must have a level of mastery of Google suite of products, Zoom conferencing
