We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to use your skills and gain more hands-on experience in project management within a non-profit sector.
Position Details:
- Role: Project Coordinator
- Type: Volunteer position
- Hours: 21-28 hours per week
- Location: Lethbridge Alberta: 203, 519, 7th St S, T1K 2G8. This is a hybrid position- a combination of remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, executing, and closing projects related to immigrant integration services
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope
- Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Prepare periodic reports on project status to management team and stakeholders including funders, partners and Board members.
- Prepare regular progress reports, final reports and other documentation as required
- Support in developing new project ideas and research to identify emerging needs in the community
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements and relevant regulations
- Organize and facilitate team meetings and project-related events
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a post-secondary program in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Public Health, International development, or a related field or possess equivalent project management experience
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within the non-profit sector
- Experience in working with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of the non-profit sector and specific thematic areas relevant to the organization’s work
- Knowledge of donor requirements, grant management and reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; bilingualism is an added advantage
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for community service
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
