Manager, Engineering and Project Management
Active Solar Development (ASD) is an experienced and rapidly growing Community Solar Development and Engineering, Procurement and Construction company based out of Malta, NY. We work throughout NYS, NJ, MD, DE, and PA.
The Active Solar Development team is a smart, fun, dedicated, kind and talented group with diverse interests and experiences. Team members are highly flexible and skilled problem solvers, collaborating extensively across functions to support each other and business needs. We have an in-person, but flexible, work environment to support rapid and fluid communication.

About the Role:
The Manager, Engineering and Project Management, leads and mentors the engineering and project management team through design, development, and construction. Develops project budget and schedules. Coordinates project workflows across multiple departments including Development, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Construction and Finance. Performs quality analysis/quality control of key deliverables. Assures timely execution of projects within established schedule and budgetary constraints, in compliance with safety, reliability, quality and regulatory requirements. Proactively manages the execution of project contracts and performs review and approval of change orders and invoices. Communicates with senior management and all project groups and functions in and outside of the company. Prepares and distributes progress reports as appropriate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
- Active PE license
- PMP certification is a plus
- 7 years of Engineering experience
- 4 years of Solar or Renewable Energy experience
- 4 years of Engineering, Procurement and Construction experience
- Minimum 3 years of Engineering and/or PM leadership experience with direct reports
- AutoCAD Civil 3D (or equivalent design tools) proficiency
- Excellent proficiency MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, MS Project)
- Ability to work onsite in Malta, NY Monday-Friday
- Ability to travel 10% to project locations

Compensation:
The likely compensation range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 plus a discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your qualifications and experience.
