Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Project Design Coordinator to join the Special Projects Division at Antex Western. The Project Design Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, communicating with stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring that client’s requirements and architectural aspects are in line with project goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for diverse functions that include but are not limited to the following:
· Work with a diverse Project Team of Project Managers, Coordinators and Site Supervisors.
· Prepare presentations for client meetings as required.
· Creation and collation of project deliverables.
· Supporting the team by attending meetings and discussing action items post meeting.
· Coordination with other disciplines (Consultants, engineers, architects, and trades).
· Managing/updating project logs on a daily/weekly basis.
· Review of project background information and subsequent project research.
· Prepare work plans, monitoring and updating of project schedules.
· Assist the Construction Manager in updating project forecasts.
· Extract weekly project time reports, and review time spent against budgets with the Project Manager.
· Develop and monitor the schedules for all deliverables (based on the work plan that has been prepared), highlighting issues and action plans.
· Identify and communicate scope deviations to key team members.
· Performs general administrative and record-keeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes; maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications, submittals and RFIs
· Assist in the review of vendors invoices, handle enquiries/discrepancies, and coordinate with financial team staff to ensure payment.
· Monitor adherence to key Quality Assurance requirements.
· Perform periodic Site Visits to prepare scope of work documentation and inspection during construction.
· Assist the Construction Manager in the execution of the duties as may be required from time to time.
· Work with Management in preparing project closure documentation, archiving, and project post-mortems/lessons learned.
· Duties described may be modified as needed to support the group.
· Reports to the Construction Manager.
Qualifications

· Demonstrated attention to detail.
· Work with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with excellent skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote.
· Understanding of financial documents and project budgeting.
· Must possess knowledge of commercial construction techniques with ability Draft and interpret construction plans.
· Knowledge of CAD workstation to prepare drawings and proposals.
· Knowledge in Project Management principles will be considered an asset.
