We are conducting a confidential search for a Quality Manager with a company that is a global supplier of industrial components to the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-road vehicle markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is located in the metro Detroit area.
Key responsibilities will include:
-Manage and directs the daily activities of the Quality Department Studies, recommends for approval and implements Quality policies, procedures and required documentation
-Coordinate IATF-16949, maintains registration and executes all job responsibilities in accordance with IATF16949
-Oversees the preparation of FMEA, control plans and instruction sheets
-Ensures staff is trained and knowledgeable in the areas of quality policies, procedures, safety, environmental standards and continuous improvement
-Issue debits for Vendors Quality concerns and issues through the Quality Dept. sign-off on customer’s debits and quality invoices
-Maintain and report out monthly to Executive Management on Quality Metrics
-Monitor external customer Quality Issues and Corrective Action
Target Qualifications:
● Bachelors degree
● 5+ years experience in Quality Engineering
● Experience in the automotive industry
● Previous supervisory experience
● Experience in a plant manufacturing environment
● Good communication skills
