Founded 57 years ago, Railhead Corporation is a leading safety and security product provider to railroads and industrial distributors across North America. We are preparing for increased sales and production. Located conveniently near I-55 and Rt. 83 in Burr Ridge, IL.
Responsibilities
- Manage all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions.
- Conduct both in-person and phone sales to Railroads for tools and safety products.
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project contacts.
- Follow up on leads and referrals from field activity.
- Identify and contact sales prospects and other assigned accounts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish, maintain, and grow current and potential client relationships.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Prepare status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Demonstrate products and teach customers how to use them.
- Generate leads and marketing tools such as mailers.
- Maintain and update a weekly to-do list with a copy provided to your supervisor.
- Attend industry trade shows, set up booths, and interact with potential customers.
- Achieve target goals for prospect and existing customer calls.
Role Requirements
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
- Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and create/edit written materials.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (acquired through a bachelor’s degree and / or 3-5 years of successful sales experience).
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
- Willingness to travel overnight for multi-state territories (valid state driver's license required), and attend trade shows / conferences.
- CRM or customer management software experience is helpful.
Desired Role Qualifications
- Previous sales experience in Rail or transportation sales.

- Base pay plus commission
