About This Role
Precision AI Solutions is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Chief AI Officer to spearhead our AI vision and strategy. As a key member of our founding team, you will drive the development of cutting-edge AI-powered solutions that personalize cancer treatments, leveraging large-scale genomics and clinical data. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our product, infrastructure, and overall direction, positioning Precision AI Solutions at the forefront of precision oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of AI/ML models for predicting drug response, identifying molecular subtypes, and developing precision oncology solutions using high-throughput genomic and clinical data.
- Architect and optimize a robust, scalable infrastructure, ensuring seamless data pipelines and efficient computational workflows for integrative omics data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape company strategy, participate in fundraising activities, and drive business development.
- Collaborate with key customers and partners from clinical, academic, and industry background to understand their needs and develop innovative AI-driven solutions that meet their demands.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI/ML, bioinformatics, and cancer research to continuously innovate and improve our platform.
- Translate company vision into a comprehensive technology roadmap, driving long-term growth and success through technology leadership. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in AI/ML techniques such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, and graph neural networks, with advanced skills in Python, R, UNIX Bash, or related languages. Hands-on experience with omics data (e.g., RNA-seq, DNA-seq, epigenomics) and developing machine learning models. Familiarity with key public cancer datasets (e.g., TCGA, CCLE, ICGC, GEO).
- Strategic communication: A big-picture thinker capable of balancing long-term technology vision with short-term execution in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including investors, partners, and clinical collaborators.
- Partnership Building: Strong track record of establishing and nurturing partnerships with clinical, academic, and industry stakeholders to drive product development and market penetration.
- Customer-Centric Solutions: A track record of working with clients and partners to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that meet their needs, with a passion for solving high-impact challenges in healthcare.
- Work Authorization: Must have authorization to work in the US.
Nice to have
- Regulatory Expertise: Experience with FDA 510(k) submissions, and knowledge of regulatory processes for software as a medical device (SaMD).
- Clinical Trials Experience: Involvement in clinical trial design, data analysis, or collaboration with clinical researchers.
- Startup Experience: Prior experience in a startup environment, ideally in the health tech or biotech sector.
Education
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
