Role Description:
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to enhance market share, profitability, and sales growth. This role involves collaboration across various departments, including sales, product development, and finance, to align marketing efforts with company objectives. The Marketing Manager will oversee the trade marketing budget, manage promotional activities, and analyze market trends to ensure effective marketing strategies are implemented.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Support CMO in the development and implementation of annual marketing strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
- Manage the planning and execution of key customer and consumer events, including product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Oversee the creation, evaluation, and implementation of on-shelf and off-shelf displays to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Act as the voice of the customer by conducting and analyzing customer surveys and market research.
Reporting
- Track and analyze business performance, focusing on key metrics such as volume, market share, and customer engagement.
- Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of trade marketing activities, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Analyze and monitor category market data, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
- Generate market insights for the development and planning of marketing communications.
Event & Campaign Management
- Select, plan, and execute industry and consumer events to promote products and drive sales.
- Manage the development and distribution of trade marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, displays, and merchandising tools.
- Implement holistic marketing plans that include traditional and innovative business-building customer programs.
- Develop and manage BTL (Below-the-Line) activities to engage consumers within store environments, both online and offline.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, product development, and finance teams to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
- Assist sales teams in creating high-quality sales materials, including presentations, pitch documents, and catalogs.
- Collaborate with distributors and retailers to develop training and incentive programs that drive product sales.
- Support the sales department in securing new distribution opportunities and merchandising support across key accounts and trade channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry, particularly in F&B (Food & Beverage), or alcohol
- Strong knowledge of the Beverage industry, including competitors, customers, and market dynamics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade marketing, with at least 2 years in a national role within the Beverage industry
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing trade marketing strategies, with a clear track record of increasing traffic and sales
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to marketing
- Ability to analyze and present statistical data, and efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish-speaking preferred
- Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships quickly and manage stakeholder expectations
- High level of passion for success, with the agility to adapt to changing market conditions
