PBV is actively looking to hire a Property Accounting Coordinator to join our Property Accounting team. The Accounting Coordinator will participate in all aspects of Property Accounting for a growing real estate portfolio encompassing office, retail, and residential properties in San Francisco and the Peninsula. In this role you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the growth of PBV’s Accounting department.
This role provides an opportunity for motivated individuals to join an established Bay Area firm with a rapidly growing national presence. In addition to the specific responsibilities described below, the daily exposure to all aspects of PBV’s operations will provide the successful candidate with mentorship opportunities from senior leadership and various members of the team with expertise in design, construction, entitlements, project management, business development, marketing, finance, and investor relations, to enable professional development.
The position is a full-time, salaried role with an expected base salary range between $70,000 and $80,000 per year but compensation structure will ultimately be defined based on the successful candidate’s experience level. Qualifications

- General computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace
- QuickBooks or other accounting software experience a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of Yardi experience required
- Experience with vendor and tenant communications is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial property operations is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Monitor various property AP email inboxes
- Validate invoices for accuracy
- Input invoices into Yardi and perform initial invoice coding
- Track invoice progress through workflow to ensure timely payment can be made
- Research invoice payment status as needed
- Conduct check runs
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Enter and review tenant receipts in Yardi
- Apply tenant receipts and track aging balances
- Generate monthly AR reports and distribute to Property Management team
- Collaborate with and support Property Management on collection efforts
Vendor Maintenance
- Create and manage vendor profiles in Yardi
- Collect vendor W-9s
- Setup vendors in Vendor Café
- Track vendor insurance certificates ensuring requirements are met
- Manage vendor communication as it pertains to invoices, payment, insurance and other communication as needed
General Accounting Support
- Assist with End of Month (EOM) tasks
- Support financial reporting
- Assist with lease administration and maintenance in Yardi
- Enter necessary journal entries at the direction of Accounting Manager
- Post manual tenant billings at the direction of Property Management
- Assist Property Managers as it pertains to accounting functions
- Provide general accounting and Yardi support as needed
