Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure the successful realization of data governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to refine and advance our data governance policies, frameworks, and strategies.
- Establish and monitor effective mechanisms to assess the impact of data governance programs and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Engage with external partners and industry authorities to remain informed about cutting-edge data governance trends and best practices.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams focused on improving data quality and managing related projects.
- Investigate best practices in data governance utilized at other institutions.
- Solutions Management:
- Oversee data governance systems, including the review and advisory of new features and enhancements.
- Configure and manage access controls within systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of core systems and their functionalities.
- Collaboration and Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal and external teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data stewards and establish effective channels of communication.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and mentorship to colleagues on data governance principles.
- Design and deliver training programs and workshops tailored for stakeholders.
- Commit to ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in the subject matter.
Required Skills
- Strong communication abilities complemented by experience in training and support.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a technical or functional role involving data.
Preferred
- Experience in data governance within an academic setting.
- Demonstrated success in advancing projects to completion.
- Proficiency in synthesizing information for senior leadership.
- Familiarity with administrative and software systems pertinent to data governance.
- Established subject matter expertise in data governance policies and processes.
