What You Will Do As a E-Commerce Merchandiser
This position will have responsibility for the day-to-day merchandising operations of multiple brand websites. The Digital Merchandiser will be involved in a broad range of activities, including responsibility for product presentation building and maintaining site content, and ensuring a great customer experience -- all of which will help grow sales and brand equity.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to help deliver the overall brand goals on our websites.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the brand websites with a focus on merchandising - including web content management, catalog and image management, and analytics to improve discoverability (SEO), user experience, lead generation, and conversion.
- Recommend eCommerce merchandise assortments by category and continually evaluate, analyze, and adjust assortments based on performance and sales trends. Identify opportunities to increase conversion and average order value.
- Develop & execute site merchandising strategies aligned with promotional and content calendars, digital marketing endeavors and other initiatives, including promotion and catalog setup, and pricing maintenance.
- Partner with Marketing to develop eCommerce promotional strategies. Analyze promotional effectiveness and make future recommendations.
- Work with website development team to support Quality Assurance (QA)/ User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes for new and ongoing initiatives to manage expectations and project risks.
- Support wholesale digital partners with product setup and maintain product information database.
- Keep up to date with industry best practice, developments in web technology and monitor competitor websites.
Skills For Success
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant e-commerce experience in the consumer products industry, preferably apparel or footwear.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, eCommerce, or Marketing.
- Experience in website management (content management, online merchandising)
- Understanding of search engines, search engine optimization, critical updates and other factors that influence rankings with search engines.
- Working knowledge of HTML & CSS is a plus.
- Moderate to high level skill with Microsoft Office tools.
- Possess an understanding of website architecture, internal website search and URL structure.
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is an asset.
- Analytical skills - ability to interpret data, identify trends and develop action plans to grow sales. Google Analytics experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented, with strong planning and organization skills. Maintains a sense of urgency and able to manage multiple projects and schedule demands.
This is a hybrid position, which allows for a mix of remote and in-office work.
