Position Overview
The Software QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of software applications through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve issues, create test plans, and automate testing procedures to improve software reliability and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to identify bugs and performance issues.
- Collaborate with software developers to understand application functionality and performance requirements.
- Document and track defects in a bug tracking system, ensuring proper resolution before release.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and implementation.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and life cycles.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
