Summary: The position is responsible for purchasing and managing media on behalf of Chair King and Fortunoff Backyard Stores. This individual must possess the skill set, desire and motivation to help the companies drive market share both online and in our brick and mortar locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) media buying efforts for Chair King Backyard Store and Fortunoff Backyard Store brands by managing the following activities and any other tasks assigned by the Advertising Director. This role will also be overseeing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google Tag Manager efforts to ensure organic marketing efforts are performing.
- Overall Responsibilities
- Maintain, execute and monitor keyword bids, audience targeting, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics with Google Ads, Bing Ads and other search platforms.
- Provide recommendations for optimal strategies for most relevant keywords, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, etc
- Provide and implement creative copy recommendations and graphical ad templates.
- Leverages first party and third-party data for targeting and insights
- Manage and optimize of keyword lists. Continually review and update performing and non-performing keywords. Optimize keywords in multiple campaigns to drive performance.
- Negotiates and forms relationships with existing and potential media partners to acquire cost-effective marketing placements.
- Conducts post-buy analysis and reconciles invoices with all media to ensure our partners are delivering what’s contracted.
- Maintain data integrity within Google Tag Manager for both brands
- Manages and maintains data integrity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) reporting
- Implements and optimizes the day to day management of budgets and bids in digital marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for monitoring and management of product data feed into Google Merchant Center with data feed partner
- Keep pace with search engine industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate and manage with ecommerce team for understanding of (and not limited to) SEO strategies, taxonomy, Google product categories and Google Tag Manager
- Organizes and manages a reporting process with all media partners to help digest and interpret data that can be used for attribution analysis and predictive modeling for future media placements.
- Generate and analyze and present weekly and monthly reports to determine the areas of improvement
- Embraces research, understands evolving market and media trends, and is highly interested, concerned, and accountable to the role all media plays
- Provide metrics against targeted KPIs (e.g. ROAS, CPA, CPC goals)

Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelor degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
- 3 to 5 years related experience implementing and managing PPC campaigns.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience with managing and implementing SEO strategies.
Certifications: Google Ad Words Certification is required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend advanced instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write advanced and/or professional correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendor representative, account executives and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Strong analytical skills: the ability to deep dive into reporting and measuring KPIs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to take conceptual instruction and translate it into actionable tasks consistent with agreed upon goals. Ability to think independently and figure out how to reach solutions to complex problems.
Computer Skills: Ability to perform and understand the functions of personal computers and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be capable of using a 10 key by touch. After a short training period this position must show an in-depth proficiency with the FROG system.
