The Real Estate Acquisition Analyst will work closely with members of the asset management and accounting teams and will be responsible for shepherding real estate investment opportunities through all aspects of the investment process, including acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and portfolio reporting.
The job location can be London, work from home with future possibility to work from office, but preferably relocation to Gibraltar (work from office).
Key Job Activities
RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
- To support the investment team with the financial analysis across all mandates in line with internal processes and time scales
- Assist with the preparation of investment memorandums and performing fundamental and statistical investment analysis for potential investment opportunities, including investment computations (i.e., return multiples, correlations, volatility analysis, attribution analysis, etc.)
- Run in depth sensitivity and scenario analysis on potential new acquisitions
- Assist senior management by conducting strategic research, asset allocation analysis, and/or risk management.
- Assist in researching and analysing national, international, macro/micro economic, and/or business conditions that directly affect company investments.
- Provide timely written or oral reports of analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain oversight of key of market trends in different sectors decided by the management
- Confidently build financial models using excel
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ACQUISITION
- Take ownership and constantly develop the inhouse Project Viability Model used for assessing the commercial real estate projects
- Performing property and portfolio underwriting, evaluating feasibility of new investments
- Ensure the efficient running of the internal acquisition meetings with up to date information and market research on all live deals
- Liaise and manage the relationships with the internal acquisition team, and appointed advisors to support the analysis and delivery of the deal flow
- Support the growth of the group through input, review and integration of European acquisition opportunities
- DUE DILLIGENCE
- Support senior management and legal departments in performing due diligence research and analysis for potential investment opportunities and/or external strategies and support the integration of acquisitions into the group portfolio
- Assist in the maintenance/improvement of existing and in the development of new quantitative and valuation models and techniques for investment diversification and risk management.
- Consult or coordinate with investment managers, external managers, analysts, investment accounting, legal counsel, custodian, and third-party advisors and consultants.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports and investor communications;
- Identify the potential risks associated with potential investments or lending decisions based on current market conditions
- Assist with various projects;
- Handle day-to-day data entry duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, maths, accounting, or real estate related fields or a combination of education and relevant experience, preferably in commercial real estate or real estate finance
- 4+ years of real estate investments or similar related financial or analytical experience.
- Knowledge of real estate valuation methods and market analysis;
- Excellent cashflow modelling skills including debt financing
- Experience solving complex problems through quantitative data analysis and modeling
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint and word skills
- Excellent business writing skills
- Takes initiative, follows through, and has pride of ownership of their work
- Detail oriented, accurate and well organized
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Ability to present succinct investment recommendations
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills who is attracted to a small, collegial working environment.
- Proactive, result-oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines and an ability to multi-task and work independently. Must be flexible in responding to changing circumstances and deadlines.

Salary package: £60.000-80.000
