Job Summary:
The Billing Clerk is responsible for managing and serving our branch locations in the daily functions of the Billing Department. The clerk will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the Billing Department team, as well as support the full range of functions with the department including creating financial documents such as credit memos and invoices for customers and maintaining organized financial records and other documents.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate and timely invoices.
- Reviewing customer contracts, quotes, technician notes to determine billing amounts.
- Compile and distribute billing paperwork according to customer requirements.
- Initiate contact with Branch Dispatchers, as needed, for supporting documents or missing information.
- Process and transmit final invoices according to customer requirements.
- Review and report unbilled costs.
- Meet accounting deadlines for month-end process and closing cycles.
- Provide excellent customer service with calls and inquiries.
- Perform general office support functions including front desk coverage, and customer service.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly processing through NexGen system.
- Ensure that all order and contract paperwork is in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in an accounts receivable and/or billing department is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in a construction environment or related industry is preferred, but not required.
Working Requirements:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
