Position Title: Platform Agile Coach
Job Duration: end of Feb (possible extension)
Location: Houston , TX 3 days on site 2 days remote.
Pay Rate Range: $52/hr to $80/hr W2.
Reason for Need: Agile Transformation
Project Details: Provide organized and purposeful coaching and training to Platform members, managers, and leaders as they navigate Agile transformations and continuous improvement journeys, adopting a growth mindset. The coach will be able to coach the platform including 5-7 product groups.
Must Have Skills
- 5+ years experience in Agile Coaching at the platform level supporting product teams
- Experience coaching full program (leaders, managers, teams, products), implementing distributed agile patterns, leveraging prioritization and business value techniques
- Experience delivering agile training and workshops to (leaders, managers, teams, products) both in person and virtual, conduct periodic Agile maturity assessments and coaching plans focused on continuous improvements
- Has been through and coached through an agile transformation end to end
- Leadership presentation and influence, ability to facilitate/hold space commandingly for large groups
- Knowledge of and ability to apply agile scaling patterns, road mapping, big room planning
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Time management and prioritization skills
Nice to have skills:
- Scaling systems workshop and/or certifications
- Expert level coaching certifications
Education/certification requirements:
- In computer science, computer information systems engineer, business, or related discipline
- Agile Scrum , Product Owner, or Scrum Master certifications (such as Certified Scrum Master) required
Day to day responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities Estimated % of Time
- Platform level coaching: Coach platform team to adopt successful scaling patterns. Work closely with platform owners, platform and team scrum masters, product owners, platform tech partner, and product teams to coach platform to high performance. Facilitate the implementation of agile processes and ceremonies including road mapping, quarterly planning, innovation and planning events, and facilitate conflict resolution processes, e.g. interpersonal, dependencies, prioritization, etc. Provide agile delivery and OKR coaching at the platform level. Coach platform level goal setting and flow efficiency. Coach and upskill the Platform Scrum Master to prepare the role to facilitate platform level processes and ceremonies and coach product teams.

- Continuous Improvement coaching: Identify areas for improvement in platform and team performance, efficiency, and effectiveness. Work collaboratively with platform leadership and teams to address challenges and remove impediments to continuous improvement and innovation. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track the progress of agile initiatives, highlighting successes and identifying areas that require further attention. Coach and upskill the Platform Scrum Master, Platform Tech Partner, Platform Owner and team coaches.

- Agile Transformation Leadership: Facilitate and support the organization’s agile transformation efforts by coaching executives, leaders, teams, and individuals in adopting agile methodologies and mindsets. Drive the organization toward embracing agile values and principles, establishing a learning and innovation culture. Facilitate the blueprinting, design and activation of platform product teams aligned to value delivery. Support the organization in navigating through the complexities of change, helping them to adapt to an agile culture and mindset.
