Role Expectations
As the Marketing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to support our growth objectives. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, optimizing digital marketing campaigns, and positioning our brand effectively in the marketplace. This role requires a strong background in SEO, expertise in marketing to mature professionals, and a strategic mindset for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) marketing. You’ll design, plan, manage, and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate pipeline revenue.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, email, social media, etc.) to generate and nurture leads.
- Lead Generation: Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify and acquire potential CPA firms for acquisition.
- Marketing Operations: Manage and optimize marketing automation tools and CRM systems to streamline processes and improve campaign performance. Serve as connector between sales and marketing ensuring leads are handed off to Sales Team, adjusting marketing programs based on sales feedback loop, creating sales-enabling reports and dashboards, and maintaining consistent internal communication with sales leadership and associates.
- Data Analysis: Analyze marketing data and metrics to assess campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance marketing processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and other teams to ensure marketing efforts align with business objectives and support overall goals.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making. Implement proper tracking and create dashboards and reporting using HubSpot and other tools to share performance marketing KPIs with the team.
- Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and aligned with strategic priorities.
Skills & Attributes
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, strategy, business management, or similar or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience in demand generation
- Experience in the CPA or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
- A portfolio of successful growth implementations and interventions.
- Ability to partner with creative teams; experience managing external agencies and budgets to produce high-quality assets.
- Proven ability to generate and nurture leads through a variety of channels, including paid media, paid social, email, retargeting, direct mail, webinars, etc.
- Hands-on experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms — specifically Hubspot — to execute campaigns that connect marketing-driven leads to sales outcomes.
- Desire to learn the cannabis and finance industry in order to identify sales triggers, understand industry cycles, and learn key target audiences.
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, and report on data, turning facts into insights and recommendations.
