Title: Data Engineer
Contract Duration 6+ Months
Pay range $60 - $80/hr

Description:Local Candidates OnlyJoin our growing team as a Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our electric utility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to integrate data from various sources, including OSIsoft PI systems.
- Develop and maintain real-time data flows from digital substation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies.
- Create and manage secure, scalable, and efficient data storage solutions.
- Utilize advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to solve operational challenges.
- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling to enhance substation asset management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data governance practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data engineering, particularly in the utility or energy sector.
- Strong expertise in OSIsoft PI, including architecture, system integration, and data management.
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL databases, and common data science toolkits.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, NiFi).
- Excellent programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Ability to work independently and take accountability.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SQL.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience within any area of Electric Operations in the electric utility industry.
- 2-3 years of SAP experience in Asset and Work Management.
