Summary of the Role:
This role will be instrumental in the design and build-out of all of these tools. In addition, this role will assist in preparing Board presentations and information supporting regulatory filings.
• Assist in building of actuarial pricing models
• Develop an overall dashboard of key reporting metrics for board and executive level monitoring
• Build a variety of analytical tools to track underwriting performance
• Work with management to build tools bridging underwriting and investing
• Work with collateral management models to track and manage collateral levels
• Assist with and lead components of the annual planning process
• Work with finance and actuarial vendors to organize reporting
• Assist in build-out of capital and other actuarial models that may be designed from time to time
• Participate in the underwriting process to the extent possible: minimally attend bi-weekly executive underwriting meetings
• Assist with website maintenance and redesign
Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or general Business Administration
• Strong quantitative skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties
• Strong comfort with MS Word, PowerPoint
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the (re)insurance, accounting or banking industry strongly preferred
