Branding & Design Intern: Fall 2024
About meet the edge:
mte is an award-winning design studio based in Brooklyn. NY with a team of creatives, strategists, and storytellers. We work with clients to unlock their creative edge through a variety of branding, creative direction, and marketing practices. To truly ‘meet the edge’ one must be brave to challenge conventionality so we did just that by launching mte labs – our experimental design wing where we produce projects such as I AM ON EDGE, Next-Gen NYC Subway Barrier, and even a printed newspaper campaign!
The Position
We are looking for an ambitious graphic design intern with strong communication skills and branding experience who will assist in the ongoing development of our fast growing design team. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Produce final design assets for clients and MTE brand
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows
- Research imagery for moodboards
- Pitch creative ideas
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Requirements
- Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
- A strong portfolio of previous branding and creative projects
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere)
- Ability to design or wireframe if necessary in Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD Motion graphics knowledge is a plus
- Strong communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Position is *FOR CREDIT* only and can be remote if necessary but NYC is our home
