Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced former Consular Officer with direct experience in processing employment-based immigrant visas, particularly the EB3 category. In this part-time advisory role, you will use your expertise to guide our management team and applicant workers through the critical steps of preparing for their EB3 visa interviews at U.S. embassies or consulates abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on best practices and strategies for guiding applicants through the consular interview process.
- Conduct group and individual Zoom meetings with applicants to prepare them for their U.S. embassy or consulate visa interviews.
- Conduct mock interviews with EB-3 applicants to help fully prepare them for their consulate interviews, simulating real interview scenarios and providing feedback.
- Create video content to educate and prepare applicants on what to expect during their consular EB3 interviews, covering key details such as required documentation, common questions, and potential challenges.
- Provide detailed insights into the interview process, including common pitfalls, essential documentation, and how to address potential concerns raised by consular officers.
- Assist in developing training materials and resources to further support applicants.
- Stay updated with any changes in visa interview procedures, embassy/consulate operations, and U.S. immigration policies that could affect the EB3 visa interview process.
- Collaborate with the legal and recruitment teams to ensure all applicants are thoroughly prepared for their interviews.
- Provide feedback and continuous updates on visa interview outcomes to help refine our overall interview preparation process.
Qualifications
- Former U.S. Consular Officer with experience processing employment-based immigrant visas, specifically the EB3 visa category.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, policies, and procedures related to employment-based visas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise and guide applicants from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in conducting mock interviews or interview coaching is a plus.
- Experience in creating video content or other educational materials is desirable.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus but not required.
