This is a unique opportunity for college seniors to begin building their career in a unique and very exciting industry.
If you have an outgoing personality, an appetite for trying something new, a knack for sales, and want to work at a fast paced, young company where things actually get done- no corporate BS- then this might be the perfect internship for you.
The proposition is as follows: you will start off as an intern, doing basic sales tasks such as cold calling, email/ LinkedIn outreach, and market research. As you develop your skills, learn more about the industry, and get closer to graduation, you will gradually be able to take on more roles and responsibilities within the company. If you are successful in your internship, you may be offered a full-time position as an Air Charter Broker at Onyx Air after graduation.
This internship does not offer a base salary. Instead, you will be offered a generous commission split for every sale that you contribute to. The structure itself is quite similar to real estate, but the earnings can be much higher.
Job Duties:
- Conducting outreach to warm and cold leads through a variety of channels: cold calls (primarily), email, social selling, etc
- Prospecting and researching information about potential clients through online sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, etc)
- Presentation and promotion of the company’s services
- Scheduling (and later holding) meetings with qualified prospects
- Periodic researching of client needs and trends
- Tracking all progress in a CRM
Qualifications:
- Current college senior
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours/week
- Readiness to work outside normal hours (if necessary)
- Ability to convince and effectively negotiate
- Ability to work with various personalities
- Analytical and methodical approach to work, with great attention to detail.
- Resilient, persistent, motivated, and outgoing personality. Must take initiative.
- Self- starter and risk- taker.
