In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in advancing our Heuristic Behavior Analytics (HBA) project, a vital initiative aimed at bolstering defensive security measures. Your leadership will be essential in executing a comprehensive strategy that assesses behaviors, uncovers anomalies, and clarifies normal behavior patterns across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day deployment, operations, and maintenance of the HBA technical baseline.
Design and develop scalable and secure database solutions aligned with organizational specifications.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate database technologies and tools to support business objectives.
Create and maintain data models that accurately reflect the organization’s information architecture.
Ensure the consistency, integrity, and normalization of data across various database systems.
Monitor database performance, optimizing it for efficiency and responsiveness.
Identify and mitigate bottlenecks, leveraging opportunities for database tuning and enhancement.
Enforce data security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
Guarantee compliance with industry regulations and standards governing data management.
Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database systems with applications.
Provide expert technical support to the development team regarding database-related challenges.
Formulate and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss.
Develop, implement, and validate disaster recovery processes for databases.
Offer insights and alternative solutions to elevate the stability, reliability, and availability of the HBA system.
Collaborate on producing technical documentation, including development plans, technical architecture, and deployment methodologies.
Participate in Change Management and Release Management strategies to implement necessary technical updates during change management processes.

Required Skills

Proficient in systems architecture with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and risk management.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing secure database solutions.
Familiarity with optimizing database performance for maximum efficiency.
Expertise in developing and maintaining comprehensive data models.
Knowledge of data security policies and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant scientific/technical discipline. Candidates with eight years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
A minimum of five years’ experience in architecting enterprise-level database solutions.
Prior experience with federal data warehouses and a solid understanding of government procedures and regulations is highly desirable.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.

Compensation And Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $77,096.24 to $117,000, adjustable based on your qualifications, skills, and experience.
