Location: Remote but must be available during ET/PT hours.

Hours: Part-time (approximately 15-20 hours per week; some weeks may require more hours, especially closer to the event).

Duration: October to early December (Potential for an ongoing contract based on performance)

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager, who has experience planning and running online Events, to assist with the planning and execution of an upcoming virtual event in early December. You will get to work closely with our programming, fundraising, and management teams, overseeing event logistics, managing timelines, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth communication across departments to ensure successful event execution. For the right candidate, there is potential for ongoing work to support additional projects across teams, including fundraising initiatives and platform projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination: Lead the logistical planning for a virtual event, ensuring all components are on track for successful execution.
Project Management: Use project management tools like Asana to maintain timelines, delegate tasks, and keep stakeholders informed of progress and any potential risks.
Team Coordination: Proactively communicate with team members to ensure everyone is aligned and aware of their responsibilities.
Tracking & Reporting: Monitor event milestones and deliverables, ensuring details are attended to while keeping sight of the overall project objectives.
Problem Solving: Flexibly adapt to changing needs, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and support the team in finding solutions.

Requirements:

Experience in Event Management: Proven track record managing both virtual and in-person events.
Translate Vision into Actionable Tasks: Work closely with the various event stakeholders to translate their vision and goals into detailed, actionable tasks for the team.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Asana, Zoom, and Slack. Quick to learn and adapt to new platforms and technologies.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to keep all stakeholders informed and up to date throughout the project. Has strong professional writing skills.
Self-Starter & Proactive: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, and anticipate team needs.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Willing to step into various roles as needed to ensure the event’s success. A true "jack of all trades" who can handle multiple tasks and projects.
