Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our professional team for a temporary assignment of approximately two months. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in payroll processing within a business casual office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and entry of payroll data
- Act as a backup for school personnel as needed
- Verify and input non-recurring payments into the payroll system
- Maintain records of employees’ direct deposits, W-4 statuses, and payroll deductions
- Address employee inquiries and conduct necessary follow-up research
- Prepare paychecks for distribution, ensuring signature collection on receipts
- Ensure proper retention of payroll records
- Manage inventory of office supplies
