We are urgently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the exciting role of a Consulting Medical Front Desk professional in our fast-paced medical facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in insurance verification.
Responsibilities
As a Consulting Medical Front Desk professional, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Receiving and directing patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in and out of the facility.
- Verifying and updating patient information in our electronic health records system.
- Managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and handling cancellations.
- Verifying insurance coverage for patients and explaining any costs that may be incurred.
- Handling patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing documents.
- Collaborating with the medical team to ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Medical Front Desk role will have
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in insurance verification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A patient-focused approach, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent. A certificate or degree in medical administration would be a plus.
