Billing Co-ordinator - Insurance
Overview:
Our client's team is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Associate with at least 5 years of experience, ideally within the insurance industry. This role is integral to managing and streamlining billing operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the billing process within the insurance sector, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Perform audits of billing statements to ensure alignment with policies, client contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and work closely with the accounting team to resolve any financial inconsistencies.
- Handle month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on insurance billing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage claims and billing documentation for audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding insurance billing and financial reporting.
- Generate and present financial reports related to billing, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing, with a specific focus on billing within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance billing processes, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage complex billing systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.
