Role Details
Job Title: Data Analyst
Reporting To: COO
Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Mississauga, In-person
Responsibilities
- Data Management & Programming: Develop and manage databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Use SQL, Python, or similar languages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Consumer & Sales Analysis: Analyze consumer behaviour and eCommerce performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, AOV, CLV) and provide actionable insights.
- Conversion Rate Optimization: Work closely with marketing to track and optimize website traffic, user behaviour, and campaign performance. Identify opportunities for A/B testing and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance conversion rates.
- Market & Competitor Insights: Conduct regular analysis of candy retail trends and competitive landscape to support business growth and product offerings.
- Tool Utilization: Use analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and additional data tools to monitor key metrics, assess marketing effectiveness, and support data extraction, transformation, and visualization efforts.
Required Skills
- Analytical Capabilities: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Programming: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and management.
- Data Visualization: Experience with tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
- eCommerce & CRO: Understanding of eCommerce KPIs, conversion rate optimization strategies, and familiarity with A/B testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an eCommerce or retail environment.
- Experience with A/B testing tools and CRM systems.
- Background in CPG, candy, or food retail analytics.
