Valuation/Appraisal Coordinator
Dunmor is a direct lender for residential and multifamily real estate investors. We specialize in senior debt financing with products such as bridge loans, value-add loans, new construction loans, and permanent portfolio loans for our borrowers nationwide. As a rapidly growing FinTech commercial/Residential lender, our differentiation strategy is employing technological integration into all our processes to enable an efficient lending experience for both our clients and our internal team. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Valuation/Appraisal Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in valuation/appraisal processes, particularly in construction and Business Purpose Lending (BPL). This role will involve facilitating the valuation/appraisal process from loan formation to closing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Valuation/Appraisal Coordinator plays a significant role in ensuring appraisals and any supporting reports are ordered in a timely, compliant, and accurate manner.
- Track and provide valuation/appraisal status updates via internal data and communication systems.
- Collaborate closely with team members, loan originators, underwriting, processing, borrowers, and third-party vendors to obtain or secure necessary documents or information to process the appraisal request.
- Maintain knowledge of valuations/appraisal, construction and BPL lending regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
- Update records and documentation in our Loan Origination System (LOS) to ensure data and reports are accurate and available to the team.
- Manage appraisal pipeline for efficiency and compliance with internal standards and/or SLA.
- Obtain, review, and organize files necessary to support appraisals including but not limited to construction budgets, plans, and permits.
- Maintain and update internal appraiser panel system.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the valuation/appraisal processing experience.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related work experience in real estate valuation/appraising, fix-and-flip, new construction, rental loans, and/or portfolio term loans preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software tools, including standard LOS and servicing platforms.
- Strong finance, credit, real estate, and/or business background preferred.
- Established organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, advanced financial analytical proficiency, and effective interpersonal skills.
- A desire to learn, grow, and lead in a startup environment, complimented by an inquisitive and proactive mindset.
