Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our team. The SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases, writing complex SQL queries, optimizing performance, and creating reports to support business needs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in SQL, and a solid understanding of relational database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases.
Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and triggers.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data efficiently.
Develop and maintain reusable SQL scripts to automate recurring reports and data tasks.
Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and schema refinement.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
Design and implement data migration processes between different systems.
Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across multiple sources.
Generate reports and dashboards using SQL and reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI).
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to define reporting requirements and provide accurate data insights.
Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, indexing, and updates.
Ensure data security and adherence to privacy standards and regulations.
Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and business teams to support ongoing projects.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in a timely manner.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including database design specifications and query performance reports.
Document procedures for data access and usage policies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as an SQL Developer or similar role (minimum [X] years).
Strong experience with relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL.
Experience with database design and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with database management tools (e.g., SSMS, TOAD).
Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
Certifications:
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator or equivalent are a plus.
