ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Performance Marketing Supervisor (SEO) is a subject matter expert level position that is responsible for supervising SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy, in an effort to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also work with SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo, Bing and other sites in order to optimize Return on Investment. This role will inform and enable ecommerce strategies by conducting analysis to evaluate a variety of ecommerce programs. The position will help support ecommerce, marketing and merchant stakeholders to optimize of their efforts by developing and communicating insightful and actionable plans for customer acquisition and growth online. Reporting to the CMO, this position will be responsible for partnering closely with Ecommerce, Merchandising and Operations to support performance, growth and the overall customer experience. The ability to work across multiple departments, developing and executing sustained growth of Ecommerce is key to success. This role has a strong focus on the customer experience and is a partnership, internally and externally to Cavender’s.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in organic search campaigns
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and organic search initiatives and campaigns
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Work with the internal and external teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented
- Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
- Partner with a wide variety of functional leads on a regular basis to understand our business needs to formulate appropriate metrics and KPI's that measure the effectiveness of online performance, initiatives, and activities
- Work with your team to create a set of standardized dashboards, reports, and alerts to operationalize the delivery of KPI’s to various stakeholders throughout the organization
- Run ad hoc analysis to diagnose trends or answer specific questions from stakeholders on a regular basis
- Develop initiatives that optimize the customer experience, sales, conversion, etc. through in-depth data mining and flow analysis
- Prepare and deliver compelling communications, reports, and presentations at multiple levels of the organization that provide insight and clarity about ecommerce performance results and opportunities
- Demonstrate the company’s core values and be a champion of positive change. This position will help drive innovation and new exploration in marketing
- Develop and drive a culture of exceptional customer experience with the Operations teams
- Any other tasks necessary to drive results and support the corporate and store teams
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proven SEO experience
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- In-depth experience with website analytics tool
- Several years in a fast-paced ecommerce and web analytics environment
- Hands-on technical and functional experience as a practitioner of tools and technologies such as Google Analytics, Sales Force Commerce Cloud and/or other similar web analytic tools
- Demonstrated statistical knowledge and proficiency with query analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Access, Excel and/or Tableau
- Project management experience and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workloads
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong decision-making skills and ability to do so with agility and a ‘test and learn’ mentality
- Drive for continuous improvement with strong attention to detail
- Strong collaboration skills and experience building relationships and partnering across 3rd party and internal teams
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Based at our Home Office in Tyler, Texas; Tyler area residence
- Ability to travel to meet the needs of the company, up to 10% of the time
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred- specialization in Statistics, Marketing, Economics, IT, Business or related experience
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships both internally and externally
- Strong written and oral communications
- Experience in retail apparel or other branded consumer goods
- Ability to handle confidential materials and matters with maximum discretion
- Obsessive attention to detail, with an eye for numbers and ability to identify outliers at a glance
