Well known and well-run patent law firm is seeking a Patent Secretary Floater to join their team.
The position is in the office during training. Then the position is remote but you need to live in the DC area.
You will be responsible for the review and preparation of client correspondence as well as general correspondence; preparation and filing of new patent applications and formalities documents such as Powers of Attorney, Declarations and Assignments; Information Disclosure Statements; preparation of reports in Excel and other programs.
You will also be responsible for monitoring USPTO deadlines, client deadlines, and attorney calendars to ensure that action due dates are timely met.
It is important that you can correctly interpret and follow special client instructions and need to be comfortable interacting directly with staff of all levels. Other duties as assigned.
Must type 50 wpm, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well with staff at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills a must.
The hours are 8:30 to 5:00. Must have availability for overtime.
