Senior UX Designer
Location: Irving, TX (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer for a 12-month onsite contract in Irving, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, scalable user experiences across complex enterprise systems, ensuring seamless interactions across different touchpoints.
You will work on interfaces for enterprise tools, including store and restaurant touchscreens, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and backend management systems, while contributing to the development of a cohesive design system. The ability to build strong relationships within a tight-knit product team is crucial, as well as the ability to think outside the box to solve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Design & System Thinking: Solve complex problems by applying system thinking and ensuring scalable design solutions across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align on project goals and iterate based on feedback.
- Information Architecture: Develop clear and intuitive structures for complex systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Service Design Tools: Create service blueprints, journey maps, and personas to visualize and communicate the entire service experience.
- Design Sprints: Lead and facilitate design sprints to prototype and test ideas quickly, ensuring they align with business goals and user needs.
- Design Workshops: Plan and conduct collaborative workshops with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse insights into the design process.
- Figma Expertise: Leverage Figma to produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs while maintaining product consistency through shared design systems.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with researchers, product managers, and developers to define user challenges and deliver design solutions that meet strategic business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in UX design, with strong expertise in information architecture, system thinking, and enterprise design.
- Tools: Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Abstract, and InVision.
- Portfolio: Online portfolio showcasing recent work, with case studies illustrating the user-centered design process.
- Design Expertise: Deep knowledge of UX research methods, responsive/adaptive design, and designing for enterprise web and mobile platforms.
- Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and how UX integrates into the agile/scrum process.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly and effectively.
- Project Management: Exceptional time management, capable of handling multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Promotions & Campaigns: Experience integrating design into promotion campaign engines and customer loyalty programs is a plus.
- E-Commerce Experience: Background in designing for e-commerce apps or websites is highly desirable.
