Job Overview
We are excited to invite applications for the Infrastructure Support Technician III - Cloud position within our esteemed technology team. This fully remote role is pivotal in delivering technical support for our clients, with a focus on Microsoft Cloud technologies, specifically the Azure Core Platform and Microsoft 365 Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing incidents, processing service requests, and troubleshooting complex issues for both customers and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support and diagnostics for cloud-based Microsoft technologies including Azure Core Platform, Azure Active Directory (AD), Exchange Online, Intune, and others.
- Provide strategic input on critical design choices for public/private cloud hybrid solutions by gathering requirements and analyzing capabilities.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations and configurations of customer-deployed solutions, ensuring compliance and availability of licensing.
- Serve as a primary contact for technical issues liaising directly with Microsoft.
- Generate reports on tenant usage, security, and compliance using appropriate tools.
- Evaluate customer environments for optimization and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain documentation for configuration management processes and procedures.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with Service Managers and internal teams.
- Update ticketing and service request details to facilitate effective triage, escalation, and resolution.
- Support customer onboarding activities and facilitate change management processes.
- Mentor junior team members regarding Microsoft cloud services and participate in on-call support rotation.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in supporting the Microsoft Cloud stack, including M365 and Azure.
- Proven technical expertise in Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Management, Azure AD Connect, and Exchange On-Prem.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Microsoft products such as Server OS, IIS, and IP services.
- Experience with automation/scripting technologies including PowerShell, JSON, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a remote team environment.
- Familiarity with Windows Server Operating Systems (DHCP, DNS, AD DS, etc.) and Cisco VMware technologies related to Microsoft Cloud Services.
- Excellent documentation and customer-facing communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or dynamic environments is advantageous.
- A commitment to continuous learning about emerging technologies is essential.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, MD100/101) are preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar technical support role.
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage workload and handle tasks of varying complexity.
- Experience managing incidents and problems using enterprise-class ITSM platforms (e.g., Autotask, ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as N-Central, LogicMonitor, and Azure Built-in is beneficial.
