Under general supervision by the President of Digital and President of Sandbox Succession, the Digital Coordinator is responsible for Sandbox Succession’s roster in the digital space including but not limited to websites, email marketing, social platforms, streaming platforms, content creation and fan engagement campaigns.
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Social Media & Platform Management
- Maintain content calendar for required posts around marketing initiatives, partnerships, and activations for designated artists
- Implementation of content, planning and strategy on social and streaming platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Spotify, Google, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, Shazam
- Syndicate posts for designated artists
- Keep up with platform development, evaluating needs of designated roster and platforms to adopt new tools and features, claim usernames, retire old ones
- Plan and execute promotions around tv/press performances and appearances
- Playlist creation for designated artists
- Brand management—ensure there is a consistent voice across digital platforms for all designated artists
- Organize YouTube channel videos and manage descriptions, annotations, tags; working with channel partners to keep up with the increasing visibility and monetization of content
- Create quarterly infographics and reports for artists and internal teams as needed
- Stay up to date on trends and strategies to communicate to the team
- Assist team in content rollout strategy per social calendar
- Tour marketing execution – adding dates to websites, BIT, Songkick; social posts, approving copy, communicating with agents where needed
- Assist with online advertising campaigns (whether by third parties or in-house)
- Assist designer with any needed content creation including but not limited to social graphics, video editing and clips
Fan Management
- Assist Digital Manager with management of any Fan Clubs/street teams
- Come up with monthly contest/initiatives for fans to engage with – whether this is in-house or facilitated through third parties
- Plan and execute award voting campaigns
- If managing contests in-house—choose and notify winners, coordinate details of credential pick up for the winners
- Manage customer service and messaging for tour pre-sales
- E-commerce – advise on what the fans are requesting, ideate on merch ideas
Tour Marketing (where applicable)
- Input tour dates in Bandsintown/Songkick/Websites/FB events
- Communicate tour announce and onsale plans for e-blasts
- Maintain tour calendar for digital and touring team and update with key dates
- Manage onsale/presale communication via socials per artist
Website/Email Marketing
- Post news stories, press releases, announcements, where applicable
- Maintain consistency across sites and send updates when necessary
- Work with web development teams/labels to set up email blasts – design, proof, test
- Managing website redesigns and user experience flow
Label Relations
- Work with label digital teams to execute marketing plans
- Weekly check-ins with label Digital Project Manager
Team Support
- Schedule meetings and sending invites to attendees
- Complete monthly expense reports
- Maintain procedures/administrative systems to keep team organized
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong work ethic, organization skills, and extreme attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior time management skills in order to adhere to deadlines and handle multiple projects/artists simultaneously
- Must be flexible and easily adaptable
- Be able to anticipate needs and create efficient processes
- Eager to work in a team setting and have past success in doing so
- Forward thinking and innovative
Experience:
- 1 year of experience managing social media, website, and fan clubs for artist or music-related brand required or minimum of 2 internships within a digital department at management or label
- Experience creating content for artists/brand
- Experience working within artist management and/or label team is highly preferred
- Experience in design is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in music business, communications, public relations or entertainment business related field.
