JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence Analyst

JOB PURPOSE: The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data, developing dashboards, and creating reports to assist stakeholders in improving business operations. The BI Analyst works closely with departments across the organization to identify trends, monitor performance, and make strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Report Generation: Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting platforms.
- Business Insights: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data analysis and actionable insights.
- Data Management: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data used for reporting purposes.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide analysis on business performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency through data-driven strategies.
- Trend Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, business, and finance teams to gather data and provide analytical support for decision-making.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Provide customized reports and analyses based on the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and SQL is required.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience with programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights.
