As a crucial first point of contact for our Utilization Review Department, you will assume a key role in facilitating our operations. Your responsibilities will include gathering intake information, creating electronic patient records, and managing the distribution of certification letters.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls for the Utilization Review team, directing them to the appropriate personnel and retrieving voicemail messages for transfer to the relevant nurse.
- Collect demographic information necessary for the creation of patient files.
- Perform printing, mailing, faxing, and copying of correspondence as required.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned, fostering a proactive work environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data entry and word processing.
- Experience with multiple line telephone systems.
- Attention to detail for proofreading written material.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with customer service principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with various professional staff.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in computers, medical terminology, data entry, word processing, and secretarial training is favorable.
- A minimum of one year of professional office experience is preferred, especially within a healthcare setting.
- A friendly and helpful demeanor when communicating over the phone.

Compensation And Benefits
- This is a full-time position with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, offering NO WEEKENDS OR NIGHTS.
- Work hours: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
- Eligibility for quarterly bonuses.

- A hybrid work schedule will be available after the successful completion of the training period (2 days remote per week; in-office presence required 5 days a week during training).
