Job Description
Our client is seeking a creative, driven, and organized Strategic Events Operations Manager to join their growing team! The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is a
project manager by nature, and has experience
running world-class virtual events. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy environment, takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, and has a willingness to take initiative without constant guidance. You have an ability to
build strong relationships both internally with key stakeholders, and externally with event partners. You are passionate about creating memorable events, and are always looking for ways to
improve and elevate the overall attendee experience. This role will
report directly to the Senior Manager, Strategic Events.
What Youll Be Doing
This role will be responsible for
supporting the end to end execution on client led virtual events, including but not limited to:
- Project Management: Collaborating with all cross functional teams in the support of the event. Owns and updates project plan documents & presentations, weekly stakeholder meetings, etc.
- Management of projects that have tight deadlines, limited resources, and cross-functional dependencies
- Project management of materials creation, staffing, on-site set-up and logistics, working with a range of stakeholders, including agency partners, product and field marketing teams, and executive staff.
- Speaker Management: Serve as a key point of contact for speakers, coordinating presentation content and ensuring seamless delivery during events.
- Agency Collaboration: Experience in partnering with external agencies, including web development firms, design agencies, and creative studios, to conceptualize, design, and develop event websites, promotional materials, and multimedia content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and event objectives.
- Post Event: Leverage post-event data and metrics to report on event outcomes, analyze trends and evaluate the success of event and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team on data entry, list management, and basic event reporting
- Additional Event Support: Provide operational support for third party events/tradeshows as needed, including occasional onsite support, list lead upload and reporting functions
About You
The Ideal Candidate Would Have The Following Experience
- A minimum of 4-6+ years of event-marketing experience, managing third party trade shows and digital events.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Roll up your sleeves, can-do attitude
- Familiar with event management platforms and other relevant event software (Bizzabo, Swoogo, Cvent, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience in planning and executing virtual events, including webinars and online conferences, with a strong understanding of virtual event platforms, engagement techniques, and attendee experience optimization.
- Proven record of both identifying and securing compelling speakers for virtual and in-person events, managing speaker logistics, coordinating presentation content, and ensuring smooth delivery of presentations.
- Proficiency in leveraging data analytics tools and platforms to track attendee engagement metrics, measure the success of virtual events, and derive actionable insights for future event strategies and content development.
- General aptitude for content creation and video production. While not directly responsible for filming, editing, etc., has experience working with these teams.
- Proficient with tools such as Google Slides, PPT and Keynote. Strong ability to take data and other information and build out compelling presentations that tell a story to our event stakeholders.
