Collaborative Systems Integration (CSI) is at the forefront of a transforming industrial control/IIoT industry with the convergence of IT and OT technologies and the emergence of the OpenGroup Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS).
The DevOps System Engineer (SE) will be responsible for developing open systems software and platform integration of edge computing hardware, software and IIoT technologies for the process industry. This position will be a hands-on DevOps system engineering role focused on application and platform life-cycle development and delivery.
The work location is Austin TX. Much of the work can be done on a remote, work-from-home basis. Occasional business travel is required.
Your responsibilities will include
- Design implementation and platform integration of O-PAS components and systems across a variety of IT and OT technologies including cloud native services, edge computing platforms, virtualization, container, systems management, industrial runtime environments and internetworking, closed-loop control, and IO.
- Setup, administration, and management support of OPA systems and networks to support POCs, conference events, and customer trials.
- Engaging and demonstrating successful collaboration with IT and OT partners, end-users and system integrators on proof-of-concepts and customer trials.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps engineering methods with building and troubleshooting experience using cloud-native solutions (either Azure or AWS) and Red Hat products including OpenShift and Ansible automation platforms, Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows environments with -
> experience in application integration/delivery using Docker/container technologies.
> experience with platform integration/delivery using hypervisor/VM technologies
- Experience with networking systems (notably OPCUA, Ethernet, IP routing) and systems management (e.g., Redfish, IPMI/BMC) administration.
- Strong familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar), GitHub, versioning and development and CI/CD release pipelines.
- Familiarity with cyber-security technologies and associated best practices for platform and network security management.
- Preferred experience with Open-Source technologies
