BRAVE/architecture, an award-winning commercial architecture firm, is looking for a full-time Accounting Support/Administrative Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer. This is an in office position we are located in the Montrose area of Houston, TX. This is an entry to mid-level position working with a dynamic creative team.

Duties:

Assist CFO with basic accounting tasks including data entry with Accounts Payable, Billing and Payroll.
Manage phone calls
Check and organize mail and coordinate deliveries
Input data and manage digital project files
Organizing and update general office and project files
Assist with the typing of proposals and contracts under the direction and supervision of the firm’s Principals
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience working in a similar professional service environment
Strong work ethic
Ability to take initiative, work independently and monitor progress of assignment without being reminded
Flexibility to undertake tasks that may be presented on a moment’s notice
Professional business correspondence experience
Customer service-oriented attitude
Engaging personality, with an upbeat positive attitude
Authorization to work in United States
Verifiable recent references

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in accounting data entry and administration
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), a working knowledge of Deltek Ajera is a plus or other softwares that pertain to the Architectural and Engineering fields
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Possess excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling, composition, and technical writing skills
Must be self-motivated, ability to work collaboratively and independently
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks amid changing needs and demands, maintaining a constant attention to detail
