Role Overview: As our PR and Content Specialist, you'll bridge the gap between PR and content marketing, playing a pivotal role in both crafting engaging content and supporting our PR efforts. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves the challenge of turning complex tech topics into compelling stories, and is skilled at building relationships with media professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging, informative content that supports our clients' PR and marketing objectives, including press releases, pitches, blog posts, whitepapers, and social media content.
- Actively support PR campaigns by developing unique pitch angles, conducting media outreach, and building and maintaining media lists.
- Use MuckRack, Dazzle and other PR tools to research journalists, track media coverage, and analyze PR campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the PR team to understand client goals and develop strategies that integrate PR and content marketing efforts.
- Work with clients to understand their products, services, and unique value propositions to ensure content and PR efforts are aligned with their brand voice and objectives.
- Monitor industry trends, news, and media to identify opportunities for proactive media pitches and content
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a content, PR or related role, preferably in the B2B tech sector.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, including developing pitch angles and building media lists.
- Proficiency in PR tools like MuckRack is highly desirable.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a proven ability to create compelling and engaging content.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and how to effectively engage with journalists and influencers.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills for effective remote work.
