Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead our data science team in developing advanced analytics solutions and driving data-driven decision-making within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data analysis, along with leadership and project management capabilities to guide the data science team in delivering impactful insights and solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, helping guide projects, and provide technical expertise and professional development.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and deliver actionable insights.
· Design and implement machine learning algorithms, predictive models, and data analytics solutions to address complex business challenges.
· Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, define project scopes, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
· Leverage Machine Learning (ML) techniques, including but not limited to neural networks, deep learning, transformers, and other advanced models to solve business problems using both unstructured and structured data sets.
· Utilize statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and data visualization tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
· Oversee the end-to-end data science process, including data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, model building, and deployment.
· Ensure the quality and accuracy of data science projects by implementing best practices, testing methodologies, and validation techniques.
· Stay informed about the latest trends in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and incorporate innovative approaches into our solutions.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
· 7 plus years of experience in data mining, data science, machine learning, or AI roles, with proven expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, Scala, or C++ along with experience using machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including experience managing teams, mentoring junior data scientists, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data preprocessing, preparation, and cleaning techniques.
- Understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, BOX, etc.
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
