Hedley & Bennett’s Sales Team is hiring for a Sales Representative. The Sales Representative is an ambassador of Hedley & Bennett, responsible for all interactions with customers, including but not limited to: selling, closing incoming leads, hunting new leads, gathering feedback from clients and more. A successful Sales Representative will both fulfill inbound orders at the highest value and efficiency and will drive outbound sales by generating new B2B leads, prospecting them and opening new accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying prospective customers through target lists, proactively contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and initiating orders with new accounts
- Following up on assigned leads while maximizing close rate and AOV
- Visiting prospective and existing customers in the field
- Providing a high-quality customer experience by responding to leads and customers in a timely and hospitable manner
- Facilitating custom orders by clearly communicating all guidelines to customers and selling within them
- Accurately entering prospective accounts and opportunities into the CRM and proactively updating each order as it develops
- Accurately and efficiently entering orders into the ERP system and the B2B website, depending on the order
- Communicating with Finance to serve as a liaison between Finance and clients to handle payment and any payment issues that arise, including assisting with collections
- Becoming a super user and super promoter of our products
- Collaborating with management and other colleagues on special initiatives
- Collecting, documenting, and sharing customer feedback with management to always continue improving the company
- Selling within all established Sales Guidelines
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of sales experience, preferred retail sales experience
- Experience in the restaurant, wine, or hospitality space is a bonus
- Extreme attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- A “go-get-them”, resilient attitude
- A complete willingness to cooperate with the team and any changes that come as part of evolving
- Spend 50%-75% of time in the field, actively selling and meeting with customers

The pay range for this role is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 plus commission.
