Basic responsibilities:
We are seeking an individual to support our contracts with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. While a significant portion of the work will be remote, the ability to work at the job site is also required. We are therefore looking for someone in the greater Los Angeles area (LA, Orange, and Riverside Counties)
- Establish and maintain document control log (DCL) and correspondence log. Process project documents, scan documents, data entry into SharePoint using Metadata labels, distribution and labeling, filing, etc. Provide additional data entry into SharePoint for correspondence, deliverables and RFI/submittals.
- Maintain Document Control electronic records using SharePoint software. Responsibilities include data entry within one (1) business day, report preparation, meeting minutes, agreements, amendments and insurance.
- Coordinate the reproduction, document control quality check and distribution of reports and deliverables, and posting them to the SharePoint site. Add deliverables and comments into the document control log.
- Retrieve and reproduce documents as requested.
Requirements:
- Five (5) years’ experience with document control databases reporting preferred; experience with SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro desirable.
- Five (5) years’ experience with Public Transit Industry Requirements (preferably with vehicle acquisition and overhaul).
- Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Must be able readily adapt to change priorities and take direction from more than one staff member
- Must be highly organized and detailed-oriented. Good communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in English, or a comparable field of study, is preferred for this role.
