Young Adult Resource Center Manager
Job descriptionAbout the Organization: Finally Family Homes is a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to partnering with college-aged young adults to help them achieve lasting success. We have a new young adult (ages 18-26) resource center, to provide a safe and engaging space for them to connect with our programs, services, and community initiatives.
Job Summary:
As the Resource Center Manager you will take a hands-on approach in developing and managing our new facility that serves system-impacted young adults. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, building efficient processes, and adapting quickly to meet the evolving needs of the youth we serve. Your leadership will drive the day-to-day operations and ensure that both staff and young adults have the resources needed for success.
Key Responsibilities: Facility Development and Operations:
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for transition-aged young adults.
- Lead the development, design, and implementation of the resource center’s layout, operating hours, and operational structures.
- Continuously refine and document processes and policies to optimize operations and adapt to change.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient facility management, staff scheduling, and logistics in a fast-moving environment.
Team Leadership:
- Develop dynamic processes and workflows to guide and support staff effectively.
- Onboard, train, and manage a cross-functional team, including an administrative assistant, volunteer coordinator, activities coordinator, and case manager.
- Foster a positive, results-driven team culture aligned with the mission and values of Finally Family Homes.
- Directly report to the Executive Director, providing updates on center progress and team performance.
Services Oversight:
- Work in a high-speed environment, being flexible and responsive to the changing demands of young adults and staff.
- Oversee the Activities Coordinator in delivering enriching activities and workshops.
- Supervise the Case Manager in providing high-quality, responsive social services, with a focus on personalized care and data-driven outcomes.
- Manage the Administrative Assistant, ensuring accurate youth intake, data entry, and grant reporting.
- Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to integrate volunteers into the center environment.
Community Engagement:
- Represent the Resource Center at high-profile community and networking events.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and service providers.
- Organize community outreach efforts to promote the organization’s mission and the resource center’s programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in facility management, program coordination, and team leadership, preferably in fast-paced or startup environments.
Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and pivot as needed.
Experience working with young adults in high-energy, growth-focused settings.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to learn and manage multiple software systems quickly
Self-starter and willing to take initiative with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
