Summary
The Senior Billing Coordinator will be responsible for drafting narrative and detailed client invoices, will proactively review and monitor unbilled inventory, and work with partners to ensure compliance with client billing requirements. This individual will work to develop relationships with assigned partners and assistants and create individualized billing plans according to partner preference.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proactively monitor unbilled index for assigned billing partners and identify opportunities to issue invoices.
- Formulate strong relationships with partners, the larger team and clients.
- Handle complex billing, including draft bill narratives for partner/associate review. Review, research and analyze time entries and ensure bills are compliant with client outside counsel guidelines.
- Act as liaison between partners, clients and Billing & Collection team to finalize, render and submit invoices to clients, including electronic submissions.
- Ensure all client-required information is obtained for successful submission and payment (e.g., e-billing matter IDs, budgets). Analyze and coordinate resolution of adjusted bills.
In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10 years of law firm billing experience

Compensation
The base salary range offered for this role will be between $100,000 and $130,000. When determining a candidate’s compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm. The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
