The Benefits Analyst is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of retirement plans, ensuring compliance, and addressing participant inquiries. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Administer daily operations of retirement plans, including processing payroll contributions and ensuring data accuracy
- Address participant inquiries by researching and resolving issues based on plan documents and vendor support
- Support compliance activities, including nondiscrimination testing and Form 5500 filings
- Monitor and reconcile eligibility events, providing reports to stakeholders as needed
- Maintain organized records of all benefits team invoices and support system enhancements through testing and validation
Qualifications
- Knowledge of HR and employee benefit-related laws, including ERISA and COBRA
- Comprehension with 401(k) plans and benefits administration
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Impressive communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
- Ability to research discrepancies and develop reports that skillfully present data
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
