The Communications Planner and Strategist will be responsible for developing, presenting and stewarding holistic (i.e. across all channels) media plans & strategies for Tatari clients. This role requires not only a deep & broad understanding of the media landscape and superior communication skills, but also a strong analytical prowess, with a passion for leveraging data and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use research, analytics tools, and processes to understand media preferences, channel behaviors and interests, shopping & purchase triggers, media consumption patterns, and advertising trends
- Gather data from Tatari clients, and work with our data science team, to provide strategic, consumer-insights-driven cross-channel media recommendations
- Develop and execute comprehensive media plans that align with client objectives and budgets. Use data and analytics, not instinct or tradition.
- Conduct media research and analysis to identify optimal media channels and placements—inclusive of tried and true channels as well as bleeding edge opportunities
- Act with high integrity to maintain strong, collaborative, productive working relationships across all internal and external teams and partners
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
- Present to C-level executives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in media planning across various channels (TV, search, social, radio, digital OOH, etc.)
- Proven track record of successful media planning campaigns across all marketing channels (offline and online). Bonus for experience negotiating media rates and terms with vendors
- Experience working with data-driven media planning tools and technologies. Superior knowledge of Media-Mix Modeling and Design of Experiments is an absolute must.
- Deep understanding of media landscape, trends and emerging technologies
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
