What Will You Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Finance, as the Billing Specialist you will be an integral part of our operations. You will work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment interacting with our customers and supporting your teammates daily. Together with our accounting team, you will ensure the timely processing of accounting transactions by focusing on full-cycle accounts receivable. There will be a component of administrative responsibilities in your support of a worldwide Sales Team.
More Specifically, You Will
- Timely preparation of invoices for new and renewing clients
- Receiving and processing payments on client accounts
- Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly, this may involve collection calls
- Auditing and assisting with processing of Expense Statements
- Use Excel to generate reports as required by the business
- Assisting in the sales cycle by providing support to Client Engagement and world-wide Sales teams
- Assisting in coordination of office activities and events
- Act as back up for making Bank Deposits when required
- Acting as back up for accounts payable to ensure they are paid in a timely manner
- Attend team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues
- Such further and other duties as we require from time to time
This is a maternity leave backfill contract position (MAT leave will end in November 2025). The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week in this full-time position. As this is a remote position, we will provide the computer equipment necessary.
What Do You Bring To The Table
- Diploma in accounting (or equivalent) or working towards a diploma or degree in accounting; and
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
Bonus Points For
- Knowledge of annual subscription-based licensing renewal process; or
- Experience using QuickBooks and a Customer Relationship Management system such as Salesforce.
